Day 22
Day 21
Day 20
What a day! I spent most it glued to the tv watching history unfold. I don't think it mattered what team you'd been rooting for you couldn't help but be proud to be an American. This is the flag that flies above the girls school. Normally it's brought down right after the final bell rings for the day. Tonight I noticed it'd been left up and someone had brought in a spotlight to illuminate it. What a sight!

Day 17
Day 16
We traveled further south for a swim meet with the team today. Since Chris doesn't have an assistant coach I go on all overnight trips to help chaperon. I also get the job of being team mom. Tonight one of the guys wanted help shaving his legs. Since there are things I just won't do I found one of the girls to help him.

Day 15
I've got swimming on the brain. I'm working on swim camp applications, we have a HS swim meet this weekend and a club swim meet next. I've got 2 girls on the brink of making STAGS and Chris' district meet in 3 weeks and middle school swimming starts in a month. So if you haven't caught on yet swimming is pretty much our life. The natatorium is like our second home. The team, coaches, life guards, and other swim parents are like family. And swim suits are like a second skin. We have practice suits, team suits, and competition suits. They all hang in my laundry room waiting to be worn.
Day 14
Several months ago Christina decided she wanted to donate her hair to Locks of Love. We've been waiting for it to get past the mandatory 10 inches for donating. This morning she was apparently annoying Alexis while fixing her hair before school because next thing I knew Alexis had a ruler and was measuring her hair to see if it was long enough to cut yet. As you can see it's definitely long enough now she just needs to decide when she wants to do it. She's debating between Valentine's Day and her birthday, she wants it to be something special. Her doing this totally defines the type of person she is, such a sweetheart.

Day 13
I made dinner early tonight because I knew I was going to go out to run and wanted to have it out of the way. So I finish up with the salmon patties and place them in a dish on the back burner of the stove. (Do you see where this is going?) Then I grabbed my Ipod put on my jogging shoes and hit the pavement. 34 minutes later I walked back in my front door feeling pretty good about myself. I make a beeline for the fridge to grab a water and stopped dead in my tracks. I didn't leave that torn up paper towel on the floor did I? Then I glace over and notice that my dish is overturned and on the floor too and I sure as hell hadn't left that there!!! Daisy and Lola ate our dinner all of it. They were very sorry but that didn't make up for the fact that it was gone. So the girls and Chris although disappointed (because they love my salmon patties) came home to find pizza. It wasn't funny at the time but I can smile about it now.
Day 12
Priscilla is an extremely picky eater but because I refuse to cook a separate meal just for her she's usually still hungry after she's had her share of dinner. Since I can't very well let her starve we have a system we follow. As long as she eats at least half of everything on her plate she's allowed to fix herself a sandwich for a snack before bed. So basically every night at about 9:15 this is what I see in my kitchen. Priscilla with her sandwich and the dogs at her feet waiting for her scraps. I love this girl. She drives me completely crazy at times but nobody can make me laugh like she does.

Day 11
Today was spent frantically finishing up semester projects that are all due this week. Several of my friends with older children have assured me that waiting till the last minute to complete these projects is completely normal, however that didn't make our day any easier. Here are Christina and Alexis working on their AP Science and AP US History projects. (Neither of which I was very helpful with, thank God for Chris!)

Day 6
The girls went back to school today. It went a lot better than I had anticipated considering our schedules where completely out of whack. They all made it out the door on time, no one forgot their gym clothes or lunch box, and I actually made them breakfast. (well at least I toasted the poptarts.) Anyway, this a picture of my sweetie Christina as she made her way home afterschool.

Day 4
This evening one of my very best friends from childhood stopped by for a visit. We went to preschool-5th grade together before she and her family moved to Miami. We've kept in touch over the years, more recently thru Facebook. Anyway she was in Texas for a wedding and decided to drive the 2 hours south to visit a few of the friends she has here. I'm just happy we were able to spend some time together.

Day 3
Day 2
So I took the girls shopping yesterday. They had several gift cards burning a hole in their pockets so we hit the mall. They all got some really great stuff but the best "bargin" were these shoes. They are so "Sierra" that her sisters are the one's that spotted them and instantly called her over to see them. She had to have them. A shoe girl, I'm so proud.
